Home and on the loosers bench.

Hey OH family. I had my surgery this past Thursday 4/29/10. My surgery took two 1/2 hours because they also did a repair on a hietal hernia. They say I got that from laying down too soon after eating. The Lap RNY part was a breeze, and other than occasional gas and scares, I can't even tell that anythng was done. The hernia repair was extremely painful for me the first 24 hours. I also had something happen with my tonsils. They swole up so bad that they were touching and breathing became very diffucult. They were considering inserting a tube in my neck for breathing. I don't know what caused this to happen, it had nothing to do with the LAP RNY. So I have a two night stay in the hopsital until my throat swelling went down. I had my surgery done at Emory Crawford Long Hospital by Dr. Larry Hobson of Atlanta Medical Center. His service to me was excellent. He was attentive, and explained things to me well. He kept up with my care while I stayed in the hospital. He mad sure that the matter with my throat was in order before I could be released from the hospital and really stayed on top of my progress. The nursing staff was also wonderful there. Already even with the pain, I'd do it again. I can't wait to see the results of having this wonderful tool. Thank you for all of those who prayed me this far.
