4 Months on the 27th
May 22, 2010
I feel amazing and I'm already down 70 lbs. Only another 86 lbs for my goal. My goal used to be 170 but I decided that 160 would work as well.
I have had no complications. I am eating healthy, getting all my protein in daily, taking my multi vitamins, drinking 64 ounces a day, eating 3 meals with low carbs and trying to get in at least 30 min of exercise daily. I have become more active in life then i have EVER! I did have to increase my protein intake because I was only drinking one supplement a day and the Doc suggested 2 as my hair is falling out like its April showers. I'm okay with the hair loss though as I have a hell of a lot of it!
Cheers to 2010. WOO HOOO!

58 lbs down- (7 days from 3 month Post-Op)
Apr 20, 2010
Well i have lost another 13lbs this month. I'm pretty happy about it. If I stay on this track. I maintain my water intake of 64 ounces or 2 L a day. I take all my vitamins everyday and I make sure I am eating 3 meals a day which are 1/3 of a cup and I have 1 protein supplement a day which is usually a protein drink with unsweetened Almond milk or Soy milk. I exercise regularly and try to get out to do some kind of physical activity twice a week. I'm pretty excited to play baseball this summer considering it has been about 13 years since I have played. I am also trying to get into the Roller Derby with the local girls in town. Keeping my life active and living life the way I never have!
I love my life.
Today my doctor told me that I can measure my food to 2/3 of a cup and by six months I should be at 1/2 cup of food.

Almost 8 weeks out and feeling fantastic
Mar 20, 2010
So I realized that after reading a few books and a hell of a lot of blogs on here that the 4 week mark was normal to have a plateau. My body has kick started again and I am down 45 lbs in total and 36 lbs since surgery. I feel absolutely amazing and cannot believe the energy I have at only 2 months out. I honestly thought I wasn't going to be able to function as well as I am for at least 3 to 4 months. I guess i am lucky. We are all lucky !
I am working out 5 days a week at the gym and am following my guidelines with vitamins, water intake, protein intake, food intake and I am back to work with no restrictions. I would recommend this surgery to anyone who needs a tool to get their life back.
My next goal since the weather is looking up- Inline Skating and Bike riding around everywhere. I can't wait to join some sports and feel what I have never felt before from life.
Pictures are coming soon.
Thanks for all the support my OHfriends

26 lbs in 4 weeks
Feb 10, 2010
Well I have been out of surgery for 2 weeks today and have lost a total of 26 lbs since I started my pre op diet and 17 since my surgery date. I\m happy with the weight loss but I'm more focused on feeling better so i can start working out. My doctor told me that I would have to start working out 5 days a week 30 min a day. I hope my incisional pain recovers soon because it is very painful to even walk. This binder is the only thing that helps and also if i hold the left side of my stomach in while I walk.

SURGERY DATE BOOKED>>>>>>YAAAAAAAY!
Nov 05, 2009
After months of waiting I finally got the call today for my surgery date! Jan, 27, 2010! I cannot wait for this day! I have started my Pre-surgical diet a few months prior in hopes I can loose a few pounds before having the surgery! It's only been a few days on the diet but I have dropped a few pounds. I'd like to get down to 250 before my surgery! Fingers, toes, arms, legs and anything that can be crossed it crossed!

WAITING GAME!
Oct 06, 2009
Alright everyone, I have all my tests complete and I'm now at the point of the waiting game. They (the hospital) advised me that they will call me with a date for surgery in 3- 6 weeks. So I'm looking at Mid Jan to the end of Feb for my surgery. How long did everyone wait for a surgery date after all their tests were complete?
