Hello All,I have been so ingulfed in my new life after WLS that I forget to post unless I get an email from one of my fellow WLS friends. I hope all is well with my friends. Today is my 3rd year to the day since I had surgery. Three years ago? WOW!
I was actually taking new pictures of myself and I noticed that I needed to update my pictures or add pictures here on the site....then a light bulb went off in my head, and I noticed today is the day I had surgery.
I have been so grateful for what WLS has given to my life. I am more energetic, I can play with my son, running and jumping, all of those things. Just wonderful to be able to challenge myself doing things that I did not do before when I was heavier.
To all reading this message considering having WLS, please think of all areas of your decision before making the choice to have surgery. There will be pros and cons to weigh, but you have to be the one to make the decision. Trust me, my decision was hard, because my husband did not want me to have WLS, but I made the decision for myself and I as well as my husband are pleased with my decision.
If you are considering surgery, just remember to have a total health exam and follow the doctors orders, you will be fine.
Keep your appointments with your surgeon, and make follow up appointments with your PCP. Just follw the rules, and you can have the success that I as well as other WLS patients have had. I am always open to new friends.
