I had my surgery on October 24th 2008...I waited several years, for the last year of which I was a part of a support group.
I was one of two who decided to have surgery in Canada. Toronto.
I waited so long, and had a great deal of trouble with depression immediately following the surgery...
I am now down almost 90 pounds, and have less depression and anxiety...But I do still have days that I regret having the surgery.
Mostly I only regret my ignorance to some of the problems associated with surgery that happen later in life. Vitamin Deficiencies being one of the worst...and I am already experiencing some 4 months post op...I have also met a couple of people who cant seem to stop losing even thought they have long since surpassed their weight loss goal...
But I still wonder, if I hadnt had surgery...would I even be here long enough to have to worry about the future...
