Matthew Yoak
"Dr. Yoak made my visit very pleasant. He made me feel as if I was a small person instead of obese. When he made my pictures I was embarrassed but he made me feel so comfortable. I feel he does all he possibly can for all his patients but especially the obese.I had my panni/hernia repair on March 10 and I went into this surgery with all the confidence in Dr. Yoak. He is a very professional and caring doctor. The surgery was less painful than my open RNY and the recovery period was easier. I had 2 drains and lots of stitches but they were all out in 2 weeks and I feel like a brand new person. The stitches are all the same size and Dr. Yoak took all kinds of time with me explaining the pain I should expect and the recovery period at home. I had no surprises and never felt the least worried about the procedure. Thanks Dr. Yoak for the beautiful job."

"Each and every time I ever had a question, big or small, Pam never failed to answer the question or she would call me back as soon as she got my message. In my opinion having a good nurse and especially one who has had the open RNY surgery herself is a big extra to having this procedure and knowing you are in very capable hands makes this experience so muach nicer.Pam is a very dedicated professional and goes beyond her duty to make all of us feel special.Pam works very hard to keep the support group meetings that we have each month interesting and very informative. These meetings help all of us whether we are post-op or just beginning our journies. Thanks are not enough for all she does. "

" I chose to go to Dr. Goldman when I first heard that he had transferred to WV. I haven't yet had my consult with him but I hope to soon. I am communicating with his office however. I will update as soon as I hear more news. My first impression of Dr. Goldman was that he was very competent and I felt he could do my surgery and do it well. My opinion of him never changed. The future patients of Dr. Goldman should rest assured they are getting the very best. Dr. Goldman is a stickler for following up with after care and worries about us getting all we need.I see him every 2 weeks and meet with the nutritionist and go over diet pages brought from home and have phone numbers and email addresses for them. Dr. Goldman explained the risks from day one and even said it could end in my death and I chose to go ahead.I would rate Dr, Goldman as an 10+. He knows what he's doing and he does it great. His surgical competence, bedside manner were all anyone could ask for.He came in and talked to my family after my surgery came in at 6:45 one morning when I was vomiting. I could not ask for anything more. His staff on 2 South are in the know about bariatric surgery and highly recommend Dr. Goldman.-- I am now almost 11 months out and down from 389 to 211 lbs. I am still very happy with the surgery and I know that it was a miracle. I thank Dr. Goldman and his nurse, Pam Geary. "
