I started out the first half of my Journey in August 12, 2004. It was then that I had a RNY Gastric Bypass. My surgeon was Dr. Scott Steinberg and it was performed at DeKalb Medical Center in Decatur, GA. I started my journey at 343 lbs-
I was successful a great deal of weight- However, due to various complications, I could not reach my goal. I began to review and look at alternate solutions to help me reach goal. I have just recently had a revision to a DS (duodonal switch) on June 4, 2007. This process is not offered in Atlanta. I had the procedure done in Dayton, Ohio at Miami Valley Hospital. My surgeon is Dr. John Maguire.
Right now I am just trying to get through this new phase of issues, and I pray that this will be my final journey towards successful weight loss.
