1st Appointment Update

So I went to my first appointment yesterday. The bad news is I have to have a nutritionist supervised diet for 6 months. My insurance company did not tell me that when I specifically asked so that is a bummer. Other than that I think the surgery is a good thing. The past couple of weeks I have been on a strict diet of eating healthy small portions and have lost about 10 pounds so if I keep doing what I am doing and my nutritionist is okay with it then maybe I can avoid the surgery? I don't know. I am going to call today though and set up an appointment with a nutritionist and see how this all goes. Either way, I am going to continue to work my hardest to never see 280 again! 
September 11th - Appointment

So Thursday, September 11th I am meeting with Dr. Bruce Shirmer to discuss lap band surgery and to do blood work, etc. I am excited! The only thing that makes me nervous about this whole thing is being put to sleep. I have never had surgery. Other than that, I am ready to start a new beginning. I will post again after my appointment.
