I am currently 2 weeks post op almost 3 weeks.  I am down 25lbs. Things are not as bad as I thought that they were going to be.  I am working on good eating habits so that they will become a good eating behavior.  My children are liking the NEW me.  My oldest daughter gave me a compliment and told me that she is beginning to see a difference.  How sweet of her.  She really doesn't know how good that really made me feel.   I think that I deserve a pair of shoes.  I think I will reward myself for reaching a goal of 20lbs.  I shall press on.

I am one week post-op.  I had surgery on 1/24/07 by Dr. Felix Spiegel.  I am having kind of a hard time adjusting to the new eating habits but I am following the rules.  I have tried just about every diet that there is available and I have reached the point of being sick and tired of being sick and tired so I CHOOSE TO FOLLOW THE RULES this time.  So far I have lost 20lbs (6lbs prior to surgery and 14lbs since surgery).  Another choice that I have also made is to begin therapy.  I need to get to the root of my problem which is my addiction to food.  So far it has help me to find out a whole lot about myself and it can be scary at times. But I must say this, I welcome this new journey that I am about to embark upon.
