I had to write this for a group I am in so I though I would add it here
I am 42 years old. I was born in New York. I have live in California since I was 6 years old. I have live in North East LA since 1979. I have three children. Two boys one is 23 and the other is 21. I also have an 18 year old daughter who is in collage. I have been a single mother since my youngest was 6. I have worked many jobs in this community. I started by working at “PIC N SAVE” back in the early 1990’s and thought to myself what more do I want out of my life? My children were in school and I had time to find things that made me happy. I started to volunteer at the school that my children were going to; before I knew it they were offering me a job. I really was beginning to enjoy myself there. I worked myself into several different positions. From a person that has little schooling. I then started working with children with special needs and found it to be very rewarding. I then took a position at Eagle Rock High School. I have been there for 9 years now. I had an opportunity to make my life better thanks to a relative that I never had the opportunity to meet but knew of me. So with that I choose to open a business. I choose Curves due to the fact that exercise and my health were in great need of some attention. As well, as it something I feel needs a lot of attention in the world today. I choose to put Curves here in the community that I live in so I could help to improve the area. While in the middle of this stuff I have volunteered and was elected treasure of the PTA for 2 years. I have work with several political campaigns that have needed help.
I am now at a point in my life that I can honesty say that I am enjoying the things I am doing. I will be returning back to Eagle Rock High School within the next two weeks. I have just lost 90 + pounds and feeling so good inside and outside. My Curves is open and currently will be working hard to make this a thing of success in my life as well.
