Hi!  I just wanted to update my profile and let yall know that I've been feeling great!  I saw my Dr last weekend.  He said that the incisions are healing up beautifully and my restriction is still very good, so he doesn't want to consider doing a fill for another 5 weeks.  I don't mind because I am feeling great.  I can eat a little bit more, but nothing crazy ... I went from 2 oz to like 3 - 3.5 oz ... no biggie.  No one has noticed the weightloss yet.  My boyfriend says he sees it, but I think he's just sayin that to be nice  :o)  I'm down officially 21.5 lbs.  WooHoo!  My bff in Cali is in a size 8 now.  I can't wait until we can go shopping together!
I haven't been exercising because I work full time, go to school full time, have physical therapy and take care of Kai (if he's still awake by the time I get home), but I bought an mp3 player yesterday as a motivator to schedule in some time to get my booty movin'  :o)  Well, I hope you all have a wonderful day and I'll talk at cha lata!

I went to see my surgeon today.  I told him that I had tried real food.  He was so upset.  He said I should know better because my friend had it done and that if I had anymore problems that I should call his incompetent staff ... WHATEVER!  So ... I have to do liquids for 4 more days and then I can move on to mushies.  I'm so not happy right now!

I went back to work on Monday.  I was doing fine ... until Thursday ... in the afternoon I started to itch.  I had hives on my hands, arms and legs.  I didn't know what it was from ... I thought I was gonna go nuts.  I came home and took a shower, put itch cream everywhere and put ice on the itchy parts.  Nothing was helping ... it was just getting worse.  I finally took a sleeping pill to try and get some sleep.  The next morning I even had it on my face, so I called my surgeon's office freaking out.  They told me to go to the hospital.  I went to see my primary.  She was a little weirded out at first, but after checking something she determined that I was having an allergic reaction to penicillin.  She gave me a steroid shot; I had to take Claritin and a prescription itch cream.  She also prescribed prednisone, but he surgeon said he didn't want me taking it.  So Friday I had to miss work.  Oh and every time I gave myself the shot of heparin for the last couple of days it was seriously hurting, so he said I could stop taking that too.

It's been 3 days since I had the surgery and I'm feeling a lot better today.  I didn't want to write anything for the past couple of days because I felt so horrible and the only things I could think of were very negative, so I figured I'd save it  :o)  
I'll try to post the pix of my holes later today ... they're not pretty though and one is right between my boobs.  Which I didn't even know was there until the next day when I went to take a shower.  LOL!  I have 5 total, no bleeding and no bruising, they're just ugly and I have a lot of stretch marks from just having a baby (that's all for my forwarning disclosure).  :o)
My Dr says I need to be on clear liquids for 10 days. However, I felt like I was going to pass out yesterday, so I finally gave up and had a Boost and a sugar-free pudding pop (gross).  
BTW - I have to give myself a shot 3 times a day of Heparin to keep my blood from clotting.  It's horrible.  I cry every time I have to do it.  I never imagined myself havening to do anything like that.  I hate it!

I was banded today at 9:15.  The surgery was over at 11 am and I was okayed to go home at 12 pm, but the surgeon was in another surgery, so we had to wait until 3:30 pm.  
He put a 10cc band on me because he said I was tall and that would work best.  I hope so ...
I know I should be sleeping right now, but I just wanted to update my blog ... I'm nerd  :o)  I should be sleeping though, so goodnight.

Today is my day!  I'm very excited!  The driver should be here in about an hour to pick me up and take me out to Okeechobee.  (the surgeon provides transporation because it's about an hour and a half from here)
I'm hoping that they'll let me out today, so I'm not packing to much.  I just want to go in, get out and go home  :o) 
I'm down 11 pounds since the beginning of my agonizing liquid diet!  Yeah!  89 more to go ...

My surgery was moved to the 24th because the Dr has several surgeries to do that day and I will be the first one at 9am.  I'm glad that it got pushed out a day because I have been doing horribly on the liquid diet.  
I don't feel like all is lost though.  My friend in Cali only did clear liquids 3 days before surgery.  Technically today is 3 days before for me, so that's what I've planned on doing to help make up for lost time.  I've also been taking a body detox pill to try and clean out my system.  
I had been having a lot of problems with grasping reality and the fact that I'm actually going to be having this surgery, but this morning I woke up feeling awesome.  I feel really good about it now.  I've been exercising too.  Which always helps to lift my spirits. My parents are flying in tonight to help me take care of my baby for the week.  My parents always make me feel so much better.  I love being around them.  They bring stability when I'm feeling overwhelmed.  I absolutely love them.  I can't wait to see them!   
Now I have to go clean.  I hope everyone out there has a beautiful Saturday!

I'm so hungry!  The shakes are definetly not filling me up.  I want to get the lap band because I'm always hungry anyways, but now, just being on liquids is like impossible!  I can't concentrate on anything, my head is killing me and I just plain feel really bad.  I don't like feeling this way ... hence my enormous intake of food!  When my Dr first told me I'd have to do shakes for 2 weeks, I thought, "No problem ... what's 2 weeks".  Now that I'm in that 2 weeks ... It's forever!!!  I'm hungry!!! 

This pre-op liquid diet sux!  I'm doing horrible with it.  The surgeon wants me to have only protein shakes for 2 weeks.  Ugh!  I'm dyin here!  The nutritionist said that if I absolutely have to have a slice of pizza in that 2 weeks, that I can have one and it won't kill me.  I haven't had pizza, but I've had soup with stuff in it.  Some friends just showed up at my work to take me to lunch the other day.  I don't want them to know what I'm doing, so I had to go ... I had chicken and vegis ... I cut it all up into tiny pieces and chewed the heck out of everything.  And tonight I have to go to a wedding!  I know I can skip the cake, but the dinner ...  I don't know how I can fake not eating it ya know. I figure if I chew it to the consistancy of a shake before swallowing maybe I'll be ok ... ???
