I am a mother of a 16 y.o. boy & 5 y.o. girl. I have been overweight off and on since my teenage years. After having my son my weight stabilized to 180. I never gained any weight nor loss. It wasn't until I started dating/married my daughters father that I started gaining weight. Food became my greatest comfort like no other cause I was so unhappy in the marriage with him. I easily gained 100 pounds within a year of being with this man. After divorcing him I prayed and asked God for assistance & I would surrender to his will. I had tried it my way and it never turned out right. I need a transformation like no other. My new transformation started with me going back to school and advancing myself in my career. Now that I was stable financially I always had a daily,weekly yearly prayer to help me with my weight. I never thought it would be through surgery. I tried every diet imaginable u name I have done it. When I started to research the surgery I made a promise to myself that I could only do it if I took care of myself from the inside out. I started inside first by seeing a therapist on a monthly basis cause I realized it wasn't just about the weight. The only way I was allowing myself to go on this journey was if I stayed true to myself & deal with the emotional side along the way and to continue if needed after surgery. So here is my story & the ride has been very interesting, exciting, & emotional. But overall I know that this is the path that God wants me on. For he is with me every step of the way!!!
