Started day 1 of week liquid diet. Drinking Premiere Protein shakes. Not bad. I'm sure it will get better as I drink the more often. They have 30 grams of protein. Not bad at all. Getting it in and preparing for Nov 26th surgery. Oh, starting weight 252.2lbs.

Got word from surgical coordinator that I was approved today. Woot! Woot! Surgery scheduled for Nov 26, 2012.

On Friday, October 19th I received word that my paperwork was submitted to my insurance.  I completed my 6 month supervised weigh in on October 2, however I found out a few days later that they also wanted me to complete an abdominal ultrasound.  I completed that last test and my results were good, no gallbladder issues.  So hopefully sometime this week I get insurance approval.  I can't wait.  I sometimes feel like I am spiralling out of control when it comes to food.  I need help.  Well, that's the latest on me.  When I receive approval, I will surely post the good news.

Home girl is on a mission.  I was able to get both appointments scheduled on the same day, which is May 10, 2012.  Woo whoo.  Well, that's because their location is just over an hour away from my house and they both work in the same office.  I'm actually more excited to get this psych evaluation completed.  I always tell people (more so at work) "My mind don't think crazy", so on May 10th, we gonna find out the truth.  LOL! 

I am so glad to have met you and to hear about VSG.  I had never heard of VSG until you mentioned it to me.  I just want to say "Thank You!, Thank You, Thank You!"  When I find the "skinny" girl in me, I will owe it all to you for showing me the way out.  I've been lost for years on what to do about my weight, and now I feel like I have some sort of direction.  The funny thing is now I hear radio commercials all the time (like 2-3 times per hour) talking about WLS that I never even paid attention to before, and I know they haven't just been playing since I talked to you last month.  Talking with you was like receiving a slap in my face, like you were sent to tell me "Hey FAT GIRL, do YOU HEAR me talking to YOU!!!"  Well, I hear now!  I HEAR!!  I'm going to take charge of my life once and for all and I'm going to do this.  I can do this! Thank You Robin W., Thank You!

On Thursday, April 26, 2012 I meet with the Surgeon who will perform the VSG on me.  Well, unless he says something crazy at the consultation, he will be my surgeon.  LOL!  I am excited to meet him...the man that will change my life (for the better).
