Readmitted to Hospital

Hello, all.

I knew something had to be seriously wrong.  Things just do not come easy to me. 

So I was released from the hospital on Wednesday and everything seemed to be going well.  On Thursday afternoon I started having blood clots the size of a pinky nail exiting my anus along with tons of blood (filled the toliet).  I spent almost all night in the ER ( they were not familiar with gastric bypass patients which was berrrry fustrating).  Finally my surgeons residents were able to come by.  So I finally got a room and was sooo tired, and my husband said i was so white I blended in with the white hospital sheets!!!  So my surgeon believed I had to much Lovenox (blood thinner) in my system and this should be a quick fix.  NOT......so my blood level dropped to 6.2 meaning blood transfusion STAT.  So I laid there for 4 hours receiving 2 bags of some strangers blood (scares me still) not moving my arm.  My level went up to 9.8 and then studly dropped all the way back down to 8.0,  My surgeon thinks I had some bleeding in my tummy such as ulcers.  So he prescribed an anacid and tummy coater.  My blood levels started to come back up!!! 

This was a scary part of my journey and I hope I am in the clear now.  I apologize to the nurses and my surgeon for being so crabby ( I had an emotional breakdown and wasnt to nice). 

The RNY process is going swell.  I was put on the full liquid diet today and am handling it pretty well.  Unfortunatley due to the extra hospital stay and liquids I was pumped up with I weigh more then when I went in for surgery. 

I had several days to reflect and seriously questioned why I had gone through with this surgery.  I came to the conclusion the complication was due to having surgery in itself not the RNY. 

So we shall see what time and exericise brings.
