I am a happily married 31 year old who has 2 sons, ages 5 and 7. I also have 2 step-daughters ages 22 and 19. My family is the most important thing to me and I am so truly blessed having there support in deciding to go down this path. As you have probably read, I have a lot of pets. I live in North Alabama. Right now I am planning a wedding with my step-daughter (the 22 year old). She is getting married in May. I hope to have the sugery done soon so that I can look better at her wedding. But from what I have been hearing it may take a while to get in. We will just wait and see. This same step-daughter is graduating college a week before she gets married. My other step-daughter lives in Tennesse with her mom and is attending college there. Well that is a little bit about myself. I am counting the days until my consult visit. I am looking forward to it.

I am going for my consultation visit with the Dr. the first part of Feburary. I am hopeing to get the surgery done as soon as possible. My general practioner says the surgeon she sent me to is a really good surgeon. I am looking forward to getting this surgery done. Has anyone out there had the Roux-en-Y surgery and have you had any complications with it?
