"rn rnrnEdmund Chute MD, SurgeonrnDr. Chute had surgical training at the University of Minnesota and was on the Bariatric Service there in 1982. He went on to complete a fellowship in Vascular Surgery, and has been a part of this surgical group since 1990. He has been performing laparoscopic gastric bypass since 2002, and now specializes in weight loss surgery. He has a special interest in laparoscopic treatment of obesity. rnrnrnWhen I first met Dr. Chute, he was very attentive and informative with me about the surgery and the process. He explained that he was here to help me and that he supported my decision regardless of what he may have been. The staff at his facility are very friendly and they treat you as if they have known you for years. They really seem to care about their patients and they are always available to answer and questions and or concerns that I may have. My surgeon is very concerned with his patient's aftercare and long term process and they believe in going strictly by the book in order to get the best results. They want you to come to all of your follow-up appointments and stated that they will even call you and follow up if you miss an appointment. He addressed the risks of the surgery and explained the things that can be done to make the risks even less. I believe based on all the research and information that I have obtained that I am in the best hands and that I will be a success story. Surgical competence and bedside manner are both great and equally important because making this decision and going through the entire commitment and process isn't something that is taken light heartedly.rn"
