Mar 15, 2013

Well its high time I posted something on here lol.....  down to 233.4 as of last Sunday 10/13 which was my 2 months post op. mark from my RNY... I did hit a wicked stall at about 2 1/2 weeks out ...did not loose an ounce for like 3 weeks or more, yet I know inches went down even if scales did not.

Pounds are melting off weekly and the inches disappear daily... starting to run out of clothes to wear. Not that I am complaining by any means. I wait for the next stall as I know it will come on its own accord ... but it will also pass :).

I am trying to get in some exercise every day, walking outside is not so great in our Canadian winter but I am trying now the weather is starting to warm up a little. I can not wait to open the pool, that is my kind of exercise. Trying to get moving on the exercise equipment in the basement not going so fast but starting lol...a full Weider 3 position gym, Tony Little Gazelle and a stepper ... but alas exercising has never been my forte. (mostly grandsons gear).

I am eating about 1/4 cup of food per setting. I normally was not a big breakfast eater so B for me is normally a Protein shake ... prefer the Promasil Protein powder from GNC. I use the Vanilla (Soft serve Ice Cream), Milk Chocolate, and Strawberry flavors.  I normally use unsweetened soy milk to help keep my sugar n carb consumption down, otherwise its 1% milk.

Lunch and dinner of course Protein Protein Protein... if I can I get a veggie in ok..but as of yet it there is not much room to do that...so stick to the Edamame soy beans as they are Protein, (small pouch I am gathering). I love the Edamame soy beans, and usually have those at several meals each week. Even cold as a snack they are great with a cheese string or mini baby bel. Dinner is usually a variety of some sort of fish, (tuna, salmon, cod etc.), chicken or ground turkey.

Weekends usually end up with egg/turkey bacon for B, lunch is usually tuna and melba toast, dinner is always a variety of meats as I said above. Have made ground turkey or chicken spaghetti, burgers, tuna pie/casserole, shrimp  etc.. No red meat as of yet and no raw veggies. Another month for the veggies, and 3 for steak. :)

So far no food issues with anything I have eaten, the only thing I have NOT, nor do I plan on any time soon, if ever lol, is anything sweet...I am sticking with the idea that sugar will make me sick as heck so I avoid sugar like a plague lol... I monitor my sugar consumption like a hawk.

As the day progresses if I find my protein is low I will have a Protein shake in the evening. Depending on my carb/fat/sugar for the day will I decide if I add a banana or slice of peach or some other fruit to a shake.

Of course there is the every constant concern of CONSTIPATION every WLS persons nightmare. We all end up with it, only a select few do not... and I mean FEW... we all find a solution that works for us.
