I have always been a 'big girl' and have always been quite aware of it. I have tried durn near every diet there is...have worked out 4-5 times a week for years at a time and just can not seem to lose any weight. I also have PCOS (Polycycstic Ovarian Syndrome) which supposedly makes it harder to lose weight. My being overweight has led to high blood pressure, high cholestoral and arthritis. I am only 36. I do NOT want to be one of those women that has a heart attack in their 40's...I want to be healthy and to feel better...I want to jog!! YES...jog...I have always envied those people that could just run.....and run....like Forest Gump...run their stress away while getting healthier and healthier....due to my weight, I can't do the 'high impact' exercises....I WANT to. I am praying that throughout this journey, I will be able to stick to what the Dr tells me to do, have the surgery with no complications and lose enough weight so that I can finally achieve the dream of just being able to run for miles with my ipod in my ears jogging to the beat of one of my favorite songs, being healthy and letting the stress fall away with every step. Seems like such a simple thing really but as well all know...it really isn't that simple when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off.
