Well I never had my tummy tuck or anything else, can't afford it. But I am still grateful to be small and really, I don't look too bad. Maybe someday I'll get the tummy tuck but if not, oh well. I currently weigh 135lbs, my lowest weight was 127 but everyone said I was too skinny. I'm comfortable with my weight now I stay between 130-135 with no trouble at all. I eat about 1-1.5 cup of food at a time about 2-3 times a day, but I really don't keep track of it or even think about it. I only weigh myself occasionally. It's good not to have to think about it. Good luck to all where ever you are on your journey.

Sorry it's been so long since I blogged, time flys when your living good. I have lost 127 lbs. I went from a size 22 to a size 2. I haven't had any problems at all, and I feel amazing. Thank God and Dr. V. I'm going to try to post some pictures. My only wish now is for a tummy tuck.

Hey, for anyone who's following my progress, sorry I haven't posted in awhile.  With my new job I don't have much free time, but i really enjoy it.  I'm goiong to post some recent pic's as soon as I get some. but I'm still losing. I thought I had almost stopped but I'm still losing 4-5 lbs a month. My dr. really doesn't want me to lose any more, but I think I could stand to lose a little more. I'm 5'5'' and weight 155 lbs, although people guess my weight to be around 120 - 130. I've lost 112 lbs and about 70 inches. I wear a size 8-9 in jeans and small-med tops. My scrubs use to be a size 2X and now I wear a small. I really would like to have a tummy tuck and a thigh lift but my dr. says to wait for at least 3 months after I've stopped losing weight, and he said I really should wait for a year after cause my skin will shrink back some and I may not need it, but I just don't see that happening. With my clothes on you can't tell, but naked you really can. I'll post again later.

Hey I've been busy graduating and stuff so please excuse me. I've platued (sp?) at 177-180. I keep fluctuating those three pounds since the first of May, 3-4 weeks now. I think it's because I weighted 180 for years before I gained up to 267. We'll see how things go but I think I need to start exercising or something to jump start my weight loss back up. Healthy regards to all.Tonya

Hey Guys, I'm sorry it's been awhile. I'm doing wonderful, slow but steady. I'm down to 191 and I feel great. I'm really busy with school right now. I graduate this May with an Associates Degree in Nursing. After I take my state boards in June I'll be a RN, Yeah! I can eat about 1/2 to 1 cup of food at a time depending on what it is. I went from a size 22, to a size 12. I've never dumped and I've only been nausous a few times, when I would eat too fast or too much. I take all of my vitamins, Prevacid and Actigall. I only exercise occasionally and I want to change that. I wish that anyone and everyone who needs and wants this surgery could have it. It has changed my life and given me back my youth. I'll post new pic's as soon as I have some. Healthy regards to all, Tonya

Okay, I had one of those "wow" moments yesterday. My husband asked me why I let our 17 y/o daughter (who is very thin, 107 lb.s 5'2'')  drive my car. I told him I didn't, so he asked, " then why is the seat slid all the way up"? I told him "cause I was driving, and that's where I need it now!!  I'm in a size 14 pants. I went to a dinner with some friends who haven't seen me in two months and they all said I looked real good. I told them I feel great. But the best part is this morning when I weighed the scale read 198!!! That's right, I'M IN ONEDERLAND!!!

Yesterday i saw my wonderful Dr. for my 3 month follow-up visit. I weighed in at 207.5 lbs. and wearing a loose size 18 pants (I can wear a 16 but they're tight and I can't stand it). My Dr. said I was kicking but and taking names with my weight loss. I've lost 50% of my excess weight in three months. I was so happy to hear him say that, I feel like it's been longer than 3 months and I should be at my goal of 140 already. I don't have any problems except with some foods like meat if I don't chew well enough. Sometimes I do that if I'm real hungry, it's easy to forget that I 've had WLS. My scars look like scrathes about 1/2 of an inch long and if you didn't know where they were you probably wouldn't even see them. I don't eat bread or pasta they fill me up too quick and I need my protein. I do eat crackers and some sweets, not too much cause it will make me nausous. Learning what foods to eat is a process, I just take it slow and if I start to feel like it's not setting right in my stomach i stop eating it. I've never "dumped" on anything, however I have had to make myself throw up a couple of times because something I've ate felt like a rock setting in my stomach for over 30 minutes, very uncomfortable, (it's usually meat that I didn't chew well enough). I am extremely happy with my decision to have this surgery and I absolutely love my Dr., he is the best. I would recommend him to everyone. I can't wait until I lose more, I'm looking forward to being in Onederland, it won't be long. Well until next time... healthy regards to you all.

Hey everybody sorry I'm not better about posting ,but I'm doing wonderful. My weight loss is slow but I'm not exercising like I should. I weigh 224lbs and I usually have alot of energy as long as I get my protein and fliuds in. The protein is no problem, I get that from tuna, cottage cheese, and skim milk. I really need to work on my fliuds though. I take my vitamins, calcium, and prevacid twice a day. I take B12 SL once a week. My incisions are heeled nicely and I'm tolerating pureed foods pretty good. My wonderful Dr. will move me to soft foods monday but I'm a little scared of doing that b/c twice already I've gotten a piece of food "stuck" that wasn't pureed good enough. FYI, if this happens dissolve 1/2 tsp. of meat tenderizer into 2oz of luke warm water and sip on it (thank Dawn at Dr.v's office for that one), it really helps. Until next time healthy regards to all.

I've posted my one month pic's and believe me, my husband and  I can tell a difference even if no one else can.
