Dmitry Nepomnayshy

"I was comfortable with Dr. Nepomnayshy from the first time I met him. Of course, with a surgeon, the most important thing is that they know what they're doing in the OR... I had NO issues, little pain, incisions are all healing nicely. Everything else has as much to do with the full team of doctors as it does with the surgeon. The before and after care is excellent... my first 4 post-op appointments were scheduled before I had surgery. The preparation is thorough, with required classes and plenty of time to ask any questions. Follow up is strongly emphasized, and they run a monthly support group. I have to say, in a surgeon I think surgical competence is the most important thing; the physician's assistant, nurse practitioner, dietitians, and the nurses on the surgical floor are the ones who needed (and have) great bedside manner. Not that Dr. Nepomnayshy wasn't great... but I only saw him once before surgery was scheduled, then once before I was put under anesthesia. If I'd asked for him I bet I could have seen him, but the nurses met every need. "

Lahey Clinic

"I found the staff to be very nice and supportive across the board. I love that everyone has private rooms, and the free wi-fi. Other than one nurse, they didn't push me to do anything I wasn't up to, but they DID encourage me to walk, use my spirometer. When I couldn't eat my broth when it came, and then it was cold and gross, one of them made more for me. I can't imagine choosing any other hospital for anything."
