March not a very good month

Apr 01, 2007

OK, I am going to chalk up March as a bad month. I had alot going on in my life that I think slowed down the inches I was losing. I am still having a ruff time with my oldest son of course. He is living with my parents now and staying out of trouble. He won't listen to me so now he is learning the hard way. He took his car off the road and turned over his cell phone so that he will not be bothered by all his loser friends. I have told him many times that his friends was going to get him in trouble and I was right!!! As long as he learns from his mistakes and does the changes that are needed to straighten out his life, I will be happy. I really miss him being here but he is doing much better now. He is kinda on "house arrest" while at my parents house. My dad got him out on bond and he was released to my dad until this whole thing is cleared up. I really hope he is found "not guilty" so he can return home.

Under 200!!!!

Feb 18, 2007

Well folks, I finally did it!!!! Under 200 lbs now and loving life!!!! That is about 66 lbs gone now and I am feeling wonderful. I have had a touch of an intestinal bug but I am trying to get over it. I weighed this morning and it said 198!!!! Wooohooo!!! 150 here I come!!!!

Disappointed by January's totals

Feb 03, 2007

As you can plainly see January was a bad month for me. I guess it is ok though considering the stress that I was and still am feeling. I suppose some loss is better than none, right? I will try to look at it that way. I just hope that February will be better to me. I don't have to worry about my husband buying me a box of choc for V'Day because he hardly ever did anyway...lol. Although there are sugar free choc available but I really don't care for it much anymore no matter what kind it is. I bought some Russell Stover's sugar free candy (choc) the other week and hardly have touched it. Now if that was before surgery I would have had both bags ate within a day probably. Boy, what a change this surgery has done for me!!! Sugar was my worse enemy. I craved it everyday and all day. Most days I would eat only sweet stuff and never touch anything good for me. Since I am experiencing a slow down in weight loss I am tightening up my belt and really watching what goes in my mouth. I know last month I ate a few things that I shouldn't have but it wasn't enough to hurt (I don't think?). I think the stress is just the reason for my slow down. We will see how February treats me *wink*

The scales are on the move again!

Feb 01, 2007

I have been taking my iron pills and trying to get in as much protein as humanly possible and the scales are moving again! Since I went to the doctor have lost another 5 lbs. I am sooo thrilled that I can hardly stand it because that gives me 60 lbs gone!!! I thought I would never get to 60 but I have made it and looking forward to the next 10 - 15 to melt off. My next goal is to see the down hill side of 200 lbs which is just around the corner...5 lbs to go to see 199. I haven't been under 200 for about 5 years. This is gonna be great!

3 MONTHS CHECK-UP

Jan 25, 2007

I went yesterday for my 3 months check-up which was about 3 weeks late...lol. I had lost 55 lbs since surgery. Sally said I was on track with my size from before surgery. I told her that I have seen on here that some people had lost as much as 60-70 lbs by 3 months post-op and was concerned that my success was rather lower compared to them. She said that more than likely those that had lost that much was probably bigger than me. I only had 120 to lose where someone that had 200 or so to lose would lose faster then me. I guess that sounds about right? I won't want to lose too fast and get sick. That just wouldn't be good! She said that I need to start lifting some weights to build my muscle mass. So I guess I will have to buy something to use here at the house since I do not have time to go to a gym. I am now on iron pills because my blood test came back that my iron level was down to 19! Before surgery I was a 53. BIG difference there!!! No wonder I feel like crap sometimes!!! Over all she was pleased with me and now I don't have to go back until April. She said by then I should lose another 20-30 lbs. I hope she is right!!! I would like to weigh at least 175 when I go back but we will see....

What a day at work!!!

Jan 17, 2007

The funniest thing happened to me today at work....I had soooo much energy!!! Where in the hell did that come from? The dept. manager had me and another girl closing the photo lab tonight because she wanted the dept. to look its best because the district manager and the big wig from FUJI was coming to inspect the machines to make sure we are doing our weekly and monthly maintance on the machines and keeping everything nice and clean. Well, I took it apon myself to go hog wild with the cleaning. I wiped down everything and I mean everything. I cleaned all day long and couldn't stop. I haven't had a mood like that in years. I told the girls that I work with that I was wasting my energy on Wal-Mart I should be home doing this stuff. Hopefully on my next day off I can get into the same mood and get something done around here for once. Here it is almost 11 pm and I am still keyed up. God, it is gonna be a long night. I am truly amazed at my energy here lately and the fact that my back feels just fine. I think I am starting to love myself again....lol

Back to full-time work

Jan 17, 2007

Jan. 17, '07
Just thought I would let everyone know that I am now back to working full-time. So far everything has gone pretty good. I have only worked 2 full days so far so we will see how things go as the week moves on. I weighed the other day and I was down to 209 lbs., that is now 55 lbs gone for good. It seems this weight is taking a long time to melt off but I guess none of it wouldn't be off if it wasn't for the surgery. If I mention to someone that I wish it would come off faster they always tell me that I shouldn't lose it too fast. I try to keep that in mind but with working at Wal-Mart doesn't help matters. Everytime I walk pass the normal size clothes I see something that I would like to buy but I still am not small enough to get it. I try to keep a positive mind and think....ONE DAY I CAN WEAR THIS STUFF!!! Until then I guess I will just keep in mind how far I need to go down and try my best to get there sooner or later.
