This is my first post. I would like to Thank everyone for all of their support. I am looking for friends on this site. I hope to have the surgery soon. I have my psych eval tomorrow. I hope they don't commit me!! LOL!! I work as an LPN, at a mental institution. That job is very stressful. My proudest job, and the reason why I would like to have the surgery is my children. I have two beautiful daughters, Emilia is 5, and Myla is 1 1/2. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures, I will.
I have been overweight since i was a teenager. I remember getting on a scale in the 6th grade and thinking to myself wow i weigh 160 pounds. I started on a diet and lost a bit of weight. I can't blame my weight on my parents, but i look back and think it would be hard not to gain weight, with Little Debbies and Hamburger Helper as your main food groups.
I entered highschool around 175 pounds, every year i gained weight and didn't lose any. Fastforward to the year 2001. I got pregnant with my first child, and went to a prenatal visit and found out i weighed 291. I was very surprised i weighed that much. It really shocked me. I ate very healthy during my pregnancy. I craved fruits and vegetables. I had lots of morning sickness and lost 20 pounds. I had my daughter in October of 2001 and weighed 270. I thought i could keep the weight off, I was learning how to be a first time mom and kept the weight off for 6 months or so. Thank goodness Emilia "Emme" was an easy, happy baby. In 2002, I decided to go to nursing school. I graduated in 2003 and all i can remember is how awful i looked in my graduation pictures. All white is not flattering to a fat woman. LOL! I continued to diet, lose a little, gain a lot back. I finally figured out i'm an emotinal and stress eater. I also realized that if i don't see results right away, i give up. In 2004, i became pregnant with my second daughter. My weight was 291 and I gained weight rapidly with her, because i was hungry all of the time. I had morning sickness in my last trimester, i lost some weight even though i wasn't doing it delibertly. When I went in to have my scheduled c-section on June 10th 2005, i weighed my heaviest, 305. Myla was healthy and has been an easy baby. I know truly blessed. My daughters are everything, I've ever hoped for. They make me smile, laugh and have wow moments all of the time. I mean who knew i could create such cuties!! i know, i know all moms gotta brag. Currently, i weigh 296. I want to have the surgery to be healthier, and to be on this earth to see my children grow up.
