I have turned in my paperwork and now waiting for the clinic to submit to the insurance company. I also went to my 2nd support group meeting and all I can say is WOW! It was really great, patients went around and introduced themselves and stated their surgery date and then the amount of weight they lost. It was so amazing to hear their successes. I was so proud to be involved in the group and to know that I soon would be able to start announcing my numbers. I am so glad I have started this process and can't wait for my new life to begin.

I am a little down today...why??  Being overweight can bring you down in so many ways...today, it is the outfit I chose to wear...let’s just say that it isn't one of my outfits I can hide in.  I try to wear jackets or sweaters that hide the fat, but today, I wore a regular top that fits around the middle of me, therefore, accentuating the largeness of my midsection.  It is amazing how I feel better when I can hide...even though I know my size can be seen by all, I still feel a comfort zone when I wear those jackets or sweaters.  

Still waiting for the psych letter...should have by next Monday the 5th at the latest.  Can't wait...this is the last piece of info I need before I can turn in my packet and have the Center turn in my request for surgery to my insurance company.  I am told that UHC has one of the fastest turn around times for approval...usually less than 3 weeks.  I have even seen stories on OH where approval has come in 1 week for UHC's insured’s.  I just can hardly wait to have this tool in my life, to be healthier, happier, less self conscience...what a feeling this will all be!
