"This is actually a really nice, new hospital. The bariatric team was awesome, super wonderful. Once released to the hands of the nursing staff, that was a whole other story. One nurse came right out and told me they were very understaffed. There were no plus size gowns, except for the first one given to me on my first day, despite several requests. The nursing staff was VERY slow to anwer requests for pain meds. After lying over an hour crying, in excruiting pain, and two attempts to call for help, I finally used my cell phone to call downstairs to the bariatric clinic for help. The nurse from downstairs came up to get me help from the staff who was supposed to be taking care of me. I was mostly taken care of by student nurses, some were really fantastic, others seemed like they didn't want to be there. I had a beautiful view of lake Michigan, and a nice private room."
