Hi!  I am a 51 year young special education teacher of teenagers with emotional problems. I am married and have a 14 year old bright ,gifted and mouthy teen. I have a black lab. My story is the same as yours... I let myself  and my health not matter until I had to lose 206 lbs.  The weight served me well from myself.  As a defense mechanism..it worked well.  But I began to break-healthwise. A heart attack scared me for just a little while. Denial became less helpful. I decided on this surgery as an epiphany.  I just woke up one day, met another who had been successful with wls and just knew it was time for something drastic..born of desperation when food didn't mask my slow deathwish. I had sooo much to lose that i had given up ever dreaming. This surgery brought back the dream.  This is a lot of work! I want to succeed.
