I have been battling my weight for 27 years now. It goes up and than goes down a little, only to put it back on and than some. Being a single mom hasn't been easy and I have always put my kids first. Now that they are all grown and able to take care of themselves, its' time I take care of me. Second marriage was a nightmare, which I believe led to the impulsive eating. I have been researching the different WLS for 5 years now. Watching my sisters with the different ones, and two of them ended up having revisions done to RNY with great success. My family and co-workers fully support me on this venture to my new beginning, which greatly makes this process easier for me.
I find it very difficult to enjoy my grandchildren as I tire so quickly. I'm in constant pain from the artheritis. I'm tired of all the medication that I have to take. The last straw was when the dr. put me on insulin. I do not want to live the rest of my life attached to a needle twice a day.
A new beginning is just around the corner, and I intend on grabbing that golden ring of opportunity.
