Hi everyone

Feb 03, 2014

Been so long since I've been on here, and have had a couple of people talk to me lately about the surgery.  I'm 10 lbs from my final goal of 125 lbs.  It has been a roller coaster ride at times and I'm finding that last 10 lbs is being stubborn to obtain.  I will not give up.  I'm pleased with my progress so I'm not going to complain.  I have never regretted having the Gastric Bypass surgery, and was please when my new husband showed an interest in having the same type of surgery done.  He is now 2 years post-op and has lost a total of 157 lbs.  I'm proud of him, to help his with the transition I changed the way he ate, the amount he ate, and got him started on a life time change two years before his surgery.  He is happy he had the surgery done, and has found so much more energy.   Having my husband go thru the same surgery has made the life change easier to handle when cooking and shopping.  He laughed at me when I told him he wanted to experience dumping at least once, cause than he would never want to experience it again.  He agree's with me now.

Since my last posting I have gotten married, now have 8 grand children, got my Accounting certificate, have had a total knee replacement and have a wonderful relationship with my father.  I was a struggle as the first time I seen the majority of my family after my surgery was at my grand mother's memorial and everyone didn't recognise me, including my father.  So it was a shock to most of them.  My three older sister's have all experienced different types of weight loss surgery, so having seen them go thru the different types of surgery was a big help in my decision.

BEST DECISION I EVER MADE.

Good luck to all thinking of having this done.
