Well, I havent posted here in awhile. What a ride it has been! I am now all but 7 months out of surgery & I feel GREAT! The first few months were horrible.....I had buyers remorse & also an open wound that wouldnt heal. But once those few things improved, I havent looked back! It is a struggle everyday to make sure I am getting in all my vitamns, all my protein, and all my water, but this was a choice I made. Exercise is something that I never thought I would do, but now I enjoy it. I have lost around 120 pounds already and honestly, I dont want to lose much more....maybe 30 pounds. I still dont see my weight loss when I look in the mirror & that does scare me, but I know the weight is gone. My PCP is already recommending plastics to remove loose skin on my belly & thighs due to reoccuring infections......now this scares me & I am trying to research more.
I just want to say to anyone who may be reading this that is pre-op......research, research, nd research some more.....this is a life changing event that will alter every part of your being. Good luck on your personal journey!

Insurance Approval & Surgery Date

After a excrutiating two years, I finally have insurance that will cover my surgery! I began my 6 month supervised diet in October 2008, and finished in April. All my pre surgery tests have been completed with positive results. My paperwork was submitted on April 2, 2009, and in only 4 business days, I got my approval. My surgery is scheduled for June 26, 2009 at Bayview Medical Center! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
