"I decided to look into excess skin removal late last year. I found Dr. Long here, on Obesity Help.com I'd had one very bad and one OK experience with plastic surgeons before so I was sure what I was looking for -- an individual and a support staff that I could be comfortable with and trust. I didn't feel eager to have the surgery. I just felt it was necessary, so I wasn't particularly gung ho going in. Dr. Long is down-to-earth, kind and very personable. The office is quite lovely but not at all stuffy or pretentious. It is well-equipped and always appeared to be spotless, (something this OCD girl truly appreciated!), He laughed easily, took his time with my exams and most importantly really listened when I talked. He answered all of my questions as if it was the first time he was hearing them and I trusted him immediately. There was absolutely no pressure and no judgement from Dr. Long or his staff regarding what I did or did not want done. It's a small, family-like staff. The warmth each of them showed me is something I will not forget. Even better, they were each fantastic at their individual jobs/tasks. No bills were mixed up; my privacy was perfectly respected, my appointment times were honored so quickly that I never even got to get through any of the fab magazines in the waiting room. My surgery, (paniculectomy, tummy tuck and hernia repair), went off without a single complication. I can't believe how I look now and can't believe how fantastic I feel. I am truly grateful to Dr. Long and his wonderful team. I really don't know how my experience, start to finish, could have gone any better. "

"My first impression of Dr. Bonanni's practice was that it was extremely well-organized, professional and run by caring individuals. Impressively, at the time I started the program, the center was attempting to gain Center of Excellence status as a WLS facility. Of course, all of those good things attract a large patient base and I was disappointed to have to wait three months after beginning Dr. Bonanni's program before I actually met him in person. I was hoping that I got the good feeling about him that I needed to go forward with the surgery and dreaded feeling the opposite - I'd have to start all over. I'd already done that once, after not clicking at all with a previous WL surgeon and had put myself back about six months.
