I realize that I need to do something to control my weight...but what besides the usual ww, atkins, south beach, pills...it is a cycle of diets that seemed endless to me. I was losing, then gaining right back plus. 7/2007 - The first step was to go to a seminar, where all the potential losers (LOL) gather to find out about the types of surgeries that are out there to help them over come weight, which for many of them is accompanied by an illness...I was inspired after hearing how successful the lap band was, the very next day, I called dr. davis' office and made my consult appointment.
End of July 2007...I went to see Gio at the Center for Obesity in Ridgewood....Dr. Davis will be doing my surgery...I qualify being 5'6", 270, BMI of 43.5...but will insurance think so. Gio is awesome, he explained what they did, how this would affect my life, future meals, etc....I am so excited. Being I had oxford as my insurance company, I had to get three things, letter from my primary, nurtitional evaluation, and phych evaluation...
Middle of August - all informaiton was into office, I received the call from Kristen..I HAVE A DATE...but she had to call Oxford to get my approval...It was approximatly 10 minutes later when I received a call back from Kristen, I WAS APPROVED!!!! So, my date of October 17th was confirmed...it was real!!!
SOME GOALS:
* Wear high boots
* Cross my legs
* Wear a two piece at the beach, pool, etc...even if it is a tankini
* Talk while walking without being totally out of breath
* Play with my kiddies more without having to take a break
