So I made it through !!

It 's Wednesday and my Surgery was on Monday. I was discharged on Tuesday morning about 10am. I couldn't wait to get outta there. They were great and all but I am kinda of a germaphobe and the idea of staff and mrsa (spelling) infections freak me out so I wanted to get outta there fast. All in all I felt great. I have a lot of gas pressure or at least thats what I feel like it is and I haven't passed any yet so once that happens I will be a happier woman. I have been walking alot. I will have to take some solo cause I think they are starting to hurt my partners back which he broke ealier this year. We make a good pair - lol.

I have been drinking water and eating popcicles mostly. Taking all the pills. Feeling sleepy.

Other than that GOOD !! 

which I am soo glad about I need to take some photos and fix my ticker.

Today I was approved by UHC !

I am so pleased! I thought positivly and it paid off.

My date has been set for March 23, 2009.

I'm so pysched. Now I am still waiting on the insurance approval. The last hurdle.

I have finished all the steps ! Yeah !

I had my appointment with my surgeon yesterday. He was just like I remembered and heard about. Witty and direct.

I am now all set and waiting for my insurance to approve me.

Cannot wait for a date !

Well I did complete all the steps that I needed to before my surgeon's appt.

The wait is killing me though. I have the appointment on Jan 28th. I have my boyfriend coming with me, I just wished it would come sooner.

Its almost here. I just have to be paitent. I have to keep saying that.

I have been busy trying to get through all the appointments and testing that I needed to get done before I can see the surgeon.

At this point I have to have a abdominal ultrasound and blood work tomorrow morning. I am fasting tonight and its been ok so far. Of course its not too hard since I will be sleeping most of the time.

As soon as those things are done and the results are received I will then be able to see the surgeon have everything submitted for approval and then I will receive my date !

I am excited and glad that the process has gone so smoothly. I doesn't seem like its taking all that long. I was hoping to have surgery by the end of the year but it doesn't seem like that is likely I am thinking it will be more like Jan or Feb. At the support group mtg someone has surgery on 12-31 my birthday I thought that was a neat date to have it.

I will post again when I have hit the next step.

Well I have been making progress. They have received the referral from my PCP and they sent a welcome letter last Friday. I went online and did my medical history and then today, a week later, I received a thick envelope welcoming me to the program ! So I am psyched. They are so organized and had a list of what I need to do. So immediately I read everything and filled out the paperwork that needed filling out. I made a appointment with a social worker for a assessment. They mentioned that if I chose one from their list it would make the process faster as their in house social worker is very busy. So thankfully there is one close by that was approved by my insurance and I will see her in about 10 days.
On Monday I will contact my PCP's office to get the other information that I need and then my list with almost be completed. I need to begin to lose weight and when my assessment is done I will then meet with the dietitian and then the surgeon.
I am excited and I cannot wait for this to be here already and over. I also need to take some before photos.
