I'M Kristy /30yr/female.. I started gaining weight 6 years ago. I have put on over 100 lbs. I didn't see it coming.. I found out 3 years ago i had diabetes and other weight issues. I have a wonderful husband. We have been together for 9 years and married 7 of them. I also have 2 children. They mean the world to me. Well i looked into weight loss surgery in June of 2009. I found it to be a tool i need to get back on track. I called my insurance and they said it wouldn't be covered till my 2009 policy kicked in. Well that was Sept 2009. As soon as it kicked in i called and got me an appointment to being my journey. In Oct of 2009 i started a 6 month weight loss. This has been a roller coaster. I missed giving up the sweets i loved. I lost only 15 pounds in 6 months and felt like that wasn't enough. I was doing the work and didn't understand why the weight was so slow. Then the bariatric team let me know it was ok and i was doing well. Well know it is April 12th 2010 and my surgery date is on the 20th... I can't wait....
