Robert Korn

"Dr. Korn is a matter of fact type of man. He's thorough and very business oriented. rnMy first impression was cautious, because he isn't your \"Let's be friends\", type of person. rnrnMy impression of him has changed because I've seen him with my husband (he just had an open RNY) and was overjoyed with his attitude of \"Let's get him healthy and happy\". I now trust this doctor, because I have seen him work his magic. rnrnHis staff is so friendly. I have come to care about each one of them, since I see them all the time. His secretary, Theresa, has jumped through hoops to get this done for my husband and myself. I especially love her personality. She's easy to talk with and makes you feel at ease as does his nurse Evelia. She is a wonderful support and very informative and watchful of you. I owe a great deal to her. When I called her to let her know about what I thought were some simple issues my husband was having after surgery, she had me check some things out and then said go to the hospital. We did and he ended up in the ICU for a week. (His issues were not surgery related). I would have lost him had I not called her, and Dr. Korn for being right there and on top of the situation.rnEvery time I've called to either ask a question or whatever, someone has always been willing and ready to talk to me.rnrnI had said once before that he was hard to get to know, but since my husband and I are dealing with him now more often I feel as though I know him better as a doctor and person and I still feel he's the most capable, competent doctor foremost and I trust him.rnrnGet to know him and his practice before you decide whether or not he's the right doctor for you. rnHe strongly encourages aftercare, as far as meeting with a dietician and keeping appointments with him.rnrnHe is straight up front about risks and complications, but most of these can be taken care of, and he makes you feel comfortable with the facts.rnrnI would rate him very high as a surgeon, doctor and a general good guy. I would also highly recommend him to anyone looking to have this type of surgery.rnrnI would say that surgical competence is the best of the best, however a good bedside manner is a plus but not a requirement. He's not a rude man by any means, he's just very professional.rnrnI like it............. "
