Thank you everyone for your support. Can't believe my day is almost here. I AM READY! I had really wanted to have my surgery scheduled for today. Thank goodness I didn't. Got a call at 3:00 am this morning that Dad was being sent from his nursing home to ER for a fever. I had to pick up Mom and head to ER. He was diagnosed with a UTI and sent back on antibotics. I have not told Mom I am having the surgery as she has been so stressed with Dad's situation and her own mobility problems. I would not have wanted to tell her today. I'm still hoping I can get through surgery and back home without her finding out. It has been an extremely difficult year for them since his health started failing. Hopefully he will do well on antibiotics and stay out of the hospital. Your support means so much to me.
