LIFE

Jul 16, 2010

Life is the most unpredictable thing there is to know.   When we all start out we have no idea what we will become, a man or a women, or you can be a gay man or a gay women, or both. You think that is confusing well how about not knowing if you are going to be beautiful or ugly.  How about heavy or thin, no matter what you turn out to be Life does not give you those choices to pick so which ever one you end up with you know one thing you are beautiful inside.   Life can not take that away from you no matter what your life turns out to be.  We get blamed for what we turn out to be but it is not our  fault blame it on Life.  Life did not come with a manual we had to learn it all on our own, even starting with our parents and our parents parents.  Life just deals us our cards and it is up to us what we are going to do with it.  The same with having weight loss surgery you have to take what you have learned, always eat the right things, because  we already know what happen's when we ate what ever we wanted to,  look where it has gotten us, so take what you have learned with this experience in your new Life and stay healthy so you can live a better and longer life with your families that you love so much.  Thanks to WLS I have gotten part of my Life back with my self esteem.  I know I won't be able to turn Life back but I sure coud turn Life around without Lifes instructions.    this written by Lucy Barreto   Thank You'

THE BIGINNING OF MY WLS STORY.

Nov 29, 2009

Hi  I am lucy and today is Nov 30tth monday 5:00 am, I am having the gastric bypass today at 10;55.  I t  will be the start of a new life for me, and my family.  I have many health problems that may not be good for me when I get older, and I look forward to living longer if God willing so I could  see my granddaughters grow up.   I am very nervous today put I will put my life in Gods and Doctor Michael Bilofs hands.   I know this is not going to be an easy task, i will work hard to make this work the best that I can with the help of the friends that I made in the obesity help.com chat room which has helped me alot with confidece and friends that I don;t have in my life.   I will soon be going to the hospital with my husband, sister cindy and mrs lucy who is wonderful neighbor.   I want to lose this weight  that i have so i could feel the confidence that I use to have a long time ago and even maybe I will be able to feel normal again.  I want to be able to take care of my self and work like i use to.  I will post on here my progress so everyone  please say a prayer for me and I will give and update on how i am doing.   Thanks everyone who backed me up on my decision and who did become my friend thourgh my decision. well talk to you soon.
Today is tuesday the 15th of December, I already had my surgery and I am doing fine have some numbness in my feet and sometimes my hand but not something really bad been walking to circulate my body.  since my surgery i have lost about 15 or more lb not to sure because i have not weighed since i went to my first doctors visit.i don't own a scale so not tosure.  I do know that i have lost a good amount of weight so far and hope to continue until i reach my goal which is probably 130lbs that would be awesome.  Again I want to thank my Doctor Michael Bilof for the surgery and in helping me to stay healthy throughout my operation, I also want to thank all of the people who works at Saint Barnabas  Medical Hospital for there kindness and support.   I really enjoyed my stay i was treated so well and the nurses were all awesome there thank youl.
