Michelle, I am sorry I have not been able to keep in touch, but I have been thinking about you and closely following your progress. I met you at the first meeting & sat with you at others before your surgery. I know you have had alot of complications, but we are pulling for you and can't wait until you are well. I look forward to seeing you soon. My thoughts are with you and please ask the support group members if you need anything. We are all there for you. We love you.

****ANGEL WITH SOME GOOD NEWS****
I called the hospital today and Michelle answered the phone! I was so glad to actually hear her voice. She told me that she is feeling a little stronger and has been able to get up and walk around the room and down the hallway. She still is holding a lot fluid and has pleurisy, but hopes to go home from the hospital in a week or so. I certainly hope so. It has been an extremely long two weeks for Michelle and her family (who have been with her every moment through all this!)
FYI, Michelle had lap RNY on 9/18/01 and then developed a leak and sepsis. She underwent emergency repair surgery, but was in SICU for several days following her second surgery. Hopefully, she is now on the road to recovery!

****ANGEL SENDING OUT THANKS****
You guys are all great. I asked for help to send Michelle good wishes and you responded in droves! She had lap RNY 2 weeks ago and has been plagued with complications.
I just wanted to let everyone know that Michelle is doing a little better. I spoke with her mom yesterday and she told me that Michelle had been allowed out of bed on Saturday and Sunday. While she is unable to walk out in the hallway due to the risk of a returned infection, she has been able to move around the room some. She even sat in a chair for a little bit yesterday. She remains weak, but is making slow progress. She will likely remain in the hospital for several more days.

Sorry about that last entry, I hit enter and it submitted it, sorry. Michelle, my thought and prayers will be with you. I can totally sympathize how the packing of your incision is, been there done that twice. It won't seem like it now, but it WILL close. God bless.
