Been doing ok...down 38 lbs in a little over three weeks.  Had my first soft foods and some major mood swings.  Luckily my family loves me.  Have a split and infected incision which sucks but getting better

Surgery tomorrow!!!  Super excited but scared shitless as well.  Holy crap.  My wife will update for me and let you all know whats up

Everything is so strange right now.  I am 12 days away from my surg and my mind is spinning.  I am so excited and scared all at the same time.  Definitely happy with the situation considering one of my friends who is my age had a heart attack at 31 today.  Glad I feel ready enough to take this step and the new lifestyle committment.  Such a weird time in my life.

Well bad news first...my original date has come and gone without my new date being scheduled yet.  I wouldnt mind waiting if it wasnt for the fact that I was not working.  Going nuts around here!!!  If I had known all this switchin was going to occur I would have tried to get another job when I lost it in November.

Good news...Thanks to DC passing same sex marriage, my wife and I went to DC and made it official.  Maryland is recognizing out of state same sex marriages at the moment and we went for it.  Our real wedding was 2 years ago but our legal wedding was celebrated on April Fools Day.  Being legal has some nice benefits...cheaper care insurance and no more COBRA payments.  So I am a legal newlywed and on my way to our second wedding anniversary!!!

So I had a date...the 25th of March.  Now I have a new date which I dont know until tomorrow and a new surgeon because they decided I need open RNY vs lapro.   GRRRRRRRRRRRR...now I am more scared then I was and my perfect date (because of wife's spring break from teaching) is no more.  I might lose my mind between now and tomorrow!!!!  I am very confident in my new surgeon he is head of the Johns Hopkins Center for Bariatrics and the Chief of general surgery at Hopkins.  At least I am in very skilled hands.

I am so tired of snow.  I am a big girl and as most of you know big people and ice are not a good combo.  I cant get to the gym because we got three feet of snow that has turned into three feet of ice.  This is Maryland not Minnesota.   We are getting another foot or two tomorrow.  Will it ever end.
