 I turned 50 a few days ago and feel the best I have in years. I started this journey at 272 about this time last year took me nearly eight months to be approved finely in June 08 I was given a chance at a better life.As of now I weight 202 still have a ways to go. I hope to be at goal in the next five months. I now have insurance that cover the tummy tuck after 18 months and 100lbs lost . Weight loss has slowed some but I will just have to walk more!

  Well it's been a month now and I have lost 22 pounds after surgey down 41 lbs from my highest . I feel very good. Dr Melkonian did a great job ! I am very happy with my progress so far . Only thing bumming me out right now is BCBCNC I'm thinking they have very confused folks working for them! I went to TN for a few days and come home to a letter of explanation of benefits . It say's Required prior approval not obtained weight reduction services not covered .  All I can say is wow these folks are alittle off they approved me in May . So I guess I need to call the DR's office and get them on this. My ride with BCBS NC State Helth Plan  has been a roller coster for sure. So we will see how this ride ends .

Today I went to Dr.Melkonians office and met his staff and The Doc himself. I feel they will get me through with my insurance. I am very hopeful. Dr M seemed very nice and Patti is great. It was a positive  day for me.

I call BCBS today I  was told they denied me not sure why yet.So I will fight it for sure.
