I've tried this before hope it works now.

Stated getting fat l yr after high school. Always was 115-120.( I'm 5'2'' and was 251 2 wks ago.)Then marriage, 2 babies, grandkids, life and the pursuit of happiness, etc. and I found my self ballooning into the 200's.  My overweight friend used to tell me, that when you hit 200 you just give up. I did. The only real success I had despite trying many methods, was phen-phen. I lost 30 lbs in 3 months and was taking dance lessons. I found joy beyond joy in dance.  But, had some life changing things and stopped the diet and dancing. My weight started up again and got up to 240 . Went to several seminars until I found Dr.LaMar's. My insurance oked surgery and I produced all their required  documents and did all my preops...........then old Blue Cross/BS told me I had to do a 6 mo med. supervised weight program. ARGH!
So I did WW. I turned in my program book and was oked in 2 days. Got a quick surgery date of 4 wks. Wow, everything is mov'n fast.
I have a wonderful husband and family and friends.  I have fibromyalgia and a lot of back/hip/neck pain...........feet/ankle--well, shucks, all over pain.  I surely hope to lessen my miserable pain by losing this weight.  Eating has always been a comfort and a  big part of my entertainment. My husband went to cullinary school years ago and loves to cook along with me.  He is sad his eating/cooking buddy is out of commision for a while. He really isn't for this surgery and worries I'll be worse off physically. Yah, I worry about that too.But he's sticking by my side Everyone's before and after pictures really encourage me.  This website is a welcome catharsis and great souce of info. and encouragment.
