"The hospital was very clean and inviting. My husband was fed, even though I couldn't eat. He said the chicken sandwich was fantastic and the coffee was alright. Nurses respond quickly and efficiently to calls. There is some language barrier, but the attempt to communicate is very good. I woke up the first morning in a lot of pain and they wanted me to take my shower (I didn't think I smelled that bad...lol). I said I couldn't, because it was hurting too much. They gave me pain meds, and told me to go take it anyways. I thought it was funny. The doors to the rooms were kept closed all the time for privacy. The view wasn't so nice, but it's a hospital, not a hotel. The windows were big and people could easily see in the rooms from outside. I would have preferred having one way windows for more privacy. Overall, it was a great place for the surgery and recovery. "
"I have only great things to say about Dr. Joya and his team. I arrived in Puerto Vallarta and was brought to the Krystal Vallarta Hotel. On Monday morning, Nathalie met us at the San Javier Marina Hospital. She was professional, friendly and beautiful. She brought us to our room so we could settle in. Dr Joya came in to see me and to see if I had any questions or concerns. He was so nice and his mannerism was great. All of the nurses in the hospital were very good. If I pressed the button, one would be with me within 2 minutes. The only small issue, was the language barrier, but the nurses did their best to communicate anyways. The surgery went off without a hitch; Dr Espinoza was the assistant surgeon. He came to see me daily in the hospital as well as the hotel. He was also very nice and professional. All of my pain management was great. While in the hospital, I was visited by a psychologist and another nutritionist. Finally, I must not forget Gerald; he was great. I had so many questions and concerns in the 2 months prior to my surgery. He answered each one with care and confidence. When I felt like I may have been annoying to him, he was patient and understanding. Thank you everybody for a fantastic experience! xoxo"
