Wanting to learn more about bariatric surgery

Hi ,

My name is Kim and I joined this site after looking through health plans site.  I am looking to find out more about bariatric surgery.  I had my first consoultation with a weight loss doctor and he referred me to a Bariatric Surgeon.  I have to loose weight so that I can have a knee replacement done.  My BMI is at 60 and I have to get down to a BMI in the 40's.  Last year I started using an electric scooter when out in public and a manual wheelchair in my home.  If anyone has any advice for me i would love to talk to some people I see there are groups on here I used to be a part of the Richard Simmons chat room years ago and would like to make some new friends along my journey
