Today is my 37th Birthday and I feel very blessed today, this time las year I was so heavy tipping the scale at 279.9 I was soooo embarassed. Today I feel blessed that I was given the opportunity to change my life on May 29th, 2009. Though I am not 3 months out yet I have lost a total pre and post 52lbs. I will be 3 month next week and I know I am in store for another big loss during that month and it will continue, I have resolved to use my tool to the maximum capacity to achieve the weightloss I have not been able to do on my own. So in short the best birthday present I ever got was my WLS the RNY!!!!!

Longest Stall EVER

Well I have been in a stall for at least 2 weeks if not more. It I believe is due to the Jaw problem I have been Having and my inability to eat or drink properly, so I guess I am in starve mode. I am disappointed, but what am I to do? I feel like anything but a LOSER. I just started doing the Wii Active and that is awesome, but I really dislike these stalls and what if its not a stall and I failed? UGH the agony of being OVERWEIGHT!!

First WOW moment on July 5TH

On July 5th we decided to take our boat out to the lake. Well our boat has 2 small seats in the back on each side of the motor, you know the ones you make the kids sit in usually, well we were arrangeing the boat and hubby told me just to sit down (NICELY) and I sat in the little kid seat??? and I FIT!!!!! It took a minute to register then I said hey honey look where I'm sitting :) We both just smiled. Last summer I couldn't even get a Cheek in now I can sit in the small space and still move around!!! that was my first WOW moment!!

Finally 40lbs gone

Tomorrow is my 6 week post op day and I am down 40lbs. I am very happy with that, That is 40lbs I could not loose on my own. Its been a bumpy road, not hard but bumpy and I learn as I go. So thank you all for you never ending support on this journey of weightloss and friendship!!!

One month ago today I was Scared out of my mind and filled with excitement and joy! No I was not giving birth, I was getting ready to change my life. I was having WLS the RNY.
So I guess in a sense I was giving birth to the start of a new me on May 29th 2009. All I know is that all the way to the OR I was thinking am I sure am I sure? Then I was out. when I woke up I thought What have I done? I think all I was thinking and feeling is normal, but I do not regret a single moment since surgery. I feel I take more pride in myself, and what goes in my mouth and what I cook for me and my family. It definitely was the BEST choice I have ever made regrading my physical self. I still have a lifetime to go and I know there will be ups and downs but I know the end result will be the same...A happier, healthier more slim me!

I am doing well, I have been asked to speak to Kaisers options class next week on all I have experienced so far. I am excited to share the ups and downs with the perspective pre ops. I have a lot to share and I love to talk about something I'm so passionate about!! I am down 31lbs total and I do have more energy and feel the inches falling off. I think I will be saving for plastics though, some things you just cant fix with exercise!!!

3 Weeks Post Op

Well today I am 3 weeks post op and I have lost 22lbs post op and 30lbs altogether. While I am greatful for the weight loss and it is muuuuch needed. I am extatic that my Blood Sugar issues have resolved and I have alot more energy. I am just having a hard time with water :( But this is a lifestyle change and these things take time.

Tomorrow we head back down to San Diego for my post op with Dr. T. I dislike the drive but it will be the last time we journey down that way...at least for a Dr.s visit. I can't wait to hear what he has to say as far as what he expects next and gives me my new set of instructions. I feel so Blessed

Post op day 4

Well today is post op day 4 and I must say I feel better than yesterday...Hope this is a trend I'm seeing. I have lost 6LBS in 1 night????? Did my Gall Bladder weigh that much? J/K or maybe not! I want to thank all of you for being sooo supportive and I am Sooo blessed to have found this particular group of wonderful girls, that are just soo encouraging and filled with nothing but patience, good advise and wonderful stories!
