Ok, so I'm back to work...lovin', lovin', lovin' it! I mean I've missed slinging milk and eggs!LOL I have another appt with ECU on the 25th of this month, we'll get the results from my biopsy, do another ultrasound and hopefully, set up a surgical appt for a hysterectomy. Not that I'm looking forward to another surgery, however, I've had issues for so long now I just want an end in sight. Anyway...all in all everything is well!

disappointment...Please, do not buy anything from www.ikitchen.com. I got a Cuisinart ice cream maker from them, I paid basically what was close to(but not quite) what a new one would cost, only to find out it was refurbished. Now, it's my fault, in my excitement and haste I didn't read far enough..however...I feel crummy. Then to top it off, if you want to return anything, you pay for the additional shipping, then a 15% restocking fee. Would it be worth me returning? Nope, if I was lucky I'd get half of what I paid back in the end. I did write the company a nastygram(in a nice way). I guess the moral of the story is I should've paid more attention. I'm going to try the machine again today, when I used it last night it had a "hot" smell to the base and the motor casing felt overly warm to me...my imagination? Doubtful, but I'm going to try again for the sake of not giving up. Anyhow..I just wanted to warn anyone who ordered or is thinking of ordering from them that please read!!!! I should have!

Well, had another ultrasound yesterday...the cyst is still large and in charge...so, off to ECU I'll go on the 31st. I'm not sure what the course of action will be after that...but I can't go back to work until I get a full clearance from my doc(which she won't give until the cyst is gone due to massive pulling and pushing, lifting etc in my job). I am honestly thinking about doing baked goods to sell at the local flea market instead of a 'real job'...it would give me contact with people and let me bake(which I love). So......Anyway....

I haven't posted in quite some time...I started working, and my schedule was ferociously busy between work and the kids. My oldest will be graduating this next school year, and has joined the military on a deferred enrollment. My two middle kids and working on their driving permits and my baby is going into the first grade. I am down to 132-137 range...Right now I'm on med leave due to a large ovarian cyst (lotsa lifting pulling, etc which is causing major pain). Boy, I miss work, it's quieter there, however, enjoying the time I do have home! I have new pics on my profile, but haven't figured out how to change my avatar yet....I am almost two years out(on the 18th of July). All is well, life is good!

Okay, well, Laura has reminded me that I should update! LOL So, here goes! Alot has happened in the past few weeks. I have steadily lost weight since my hernia repair/panniculectome(I want to say a ballpark figure of 20 pounds). I am not in between a 16 and a 14 pants and a large shirt. I NEVER thought I'd make it this far, and in less than a year. I'm below my surgeons goal. My immediate goal for myself is 175. Anything under that is a cake walk...I cannot say how life changeing this whole process has been, even with the speedbumps.

At this point alot of my swelling is gone and so is most of my pain. I think that the residual pain I'm having is probably caused from the mesh "bonding" because my hernia site is where any pain is...not intense, more irritating. I'm looking forward to sleeping in my bed once more, boy do I miss it. I'm so glad I had this done, I looked at myself in the mirror today(SIDEWAYS) and oh my, what a difference there is. I'm somewhat nervous about this new person I am...gosh, I'd had a large pannus for maybe 10-12 years, so not having it is unusual for me. However, I LIKE IT! LOLI think I may even get hipster kind of underwear...something sexy, maybe lace? I did make it to onederland this week, it's been so long since I've seen it, it blows me away.

from my surgery, some of the swelling seems to be going down...now if I could get rid of the gas bubble from he!! and the cold I now have...I'd be hunkey dory :D I'm not feeling too bad if I say so myself, the worst part of all this was the muscles spasms after the hernia repair, those woke me up out of a drug induced stupor, let me tell ya! WHOA! My kids and hubby are such a great help, I love them and thank them all for their support through EVERYTHING, and there have been rough patches in this journey...Anyway, I have a checkup with Dr. Way today...I don't think there will be any problems....but will cross my fingers anyway :D Dede

I'll be going in next week for my hernia repair and panni removal...very nervous about it but got my fingers crossed that all will be well. That's all we can do anyway, right? Have faith! I'll be sure to get before/after pics if anyone is interested in seeing them...I don't know that I'll be brave enough to post them for everyone to see....but....

I am now down almost 100 pounds and checking into PS..I feel GREAT! I'd still like to lose 30-50 more pounds but my immediate goal is 100 mark. After that it's gravy...OH has been such a life support and the people I've met here are awesome!

down 70 pounds today..at 243 this am...this journey has it's ups and downs but I'm so glad I had it..it has been a life saver for me!
