I am terrified and excited all at once to possibly have my body  back again, in a way I have not seen in over 6 months.  I am down from 261lbs to 155ish.  I am in a size 10/12 and still shrinking.  I only had my surgery just over 5 months ago, so having this revision is going to be important.  Because of my nuerological conditions and the medication I am required to take daily, I have become unable to absorb solid food and most of my medication.  I severely dump or vomit, due to the Chiari making it hard for me to swallow.  Right now I am really torn about who I should allow to perform my revision and possible change over to a gastric sleeve or other NON malabsorbtion surgery.  I have reached out to a few post opers and hope I am able to gain enough info before having this surgery in a few weeks.  Until then, hope this finds you well and I will update you soon.  HOpefully it will  be me reporting I have rejoined the "real world". 

After the removal of my toxic gall bladder a month ago, I started having dizzy/blackout spells again.  Last week I took a nasty spill during a blackout and tore the ligaments in my right knee.  I have been unable to walk, eat or workout for weeks.  I am going to see my wonderful surgeon on Wednesday to discuss a possible "take down"/reversal.  This malnutrition is really getting to me.  Unless a major miracle happens, I don't expect this to get better.  I will be down 100lbs in about 3lbs and I just hit my 5 month mark yesterday.  I am ready to gain my muscle and my life back.  I will update as soon as the doctors decide what they can do.

Well thought I would stop by and update on my progress.  I am currently at 226 as of today.  Not bad, I think.  I am 3 1/2 weeks out as of today.  I am thrilled with the new changes.  My face is thinning out every day.  I have a huge public function on Sunday and I am so nervous about being in public again.  I was terrified about being in public crowds before, I hope now I can own my own skin and have a great time.  I am below the 40 BMI mark, I guess this may not mean much to anyone, but me its a mountain!

AND I AM SOO THIRSTY!

Why are we so bad at updating these pages...lol...?  Well I had a most successful surgery on October 15th.  I had a Lap RNY bypass and so far I love it!  It is so hard to let go of our relationship with foods we found comfort in.  For example, while on the liquid stage after surgery it is so hard not to want to drop some saltines or oyster crackers in that soup.  Who would have thought/known you would crave something like that so much.  I lost 10lbs the 2 weeks leading up to surgery and have since lost another 11.  So for the month of October so far I am down 22lbs.  I have gone from 261 to 239.  I have not been able to take two of my medications I take daily and I am noticiing some aggitation in my Trigeminal Neuralgia again and migraines.  I am hoping I will be able to begin taking the medication very soon again, as that pain is nothing I would wish on anyone!  I am still less than two weeks post op so my energy isn't through the roof yet, but I can see that I will soon be hard to keep up with.  I had an emotional upset just days after my surgery, which added to my anxiety.  I finally had an emotional meltdown yesterday and woke up today rested and feeling much better.   I guess it is better to let it al out.  Well thats all for now.  Thanks for all the support!  Big Hugs! 

I am way late posting this.  I was approved back in June.  Due to some medical issues that came up and a weight gain my surgery was cancelled for awhile.  I am back on track, met with surgeon today and I begin my journey to lose some weight before surgery again.  I expect to have a new date within the next 30 days!  (We are waiting for me to pass a kidney stone....lol) Then I can schedule my surgery again.  I am really excited! 

I think I will call Patty at Dr. Small's office tomorrow sometime to see what she knows.  I know they do surgeries on Mondays, so I am hoping she has a reason (good reason) to call me in the morning.  I want this more than anything!  I am praying for patience.

All Evaluations are complete and now I am just waiting for approval from Tricare.  Then....a set surgery date.  This is where I am going to become anxious.  I don't handle waiting very well.  I found out J's class reunion is in July in Miami.  One week after my family reunion in Illinois.  I hope to have surgery in May, so that I will feel more comfortable traveling and meeting all his old classmates.  My family will be so proud too.  I remember when my mom was first post op, how great she looked and how proud our family was of her and her accomplishments.  Well...I guess I am off to "wait".  Pray or send quick approval and date vibes my way!

WLS office has all my paperwork in hand.  They are only waiting for the nutritionist and Head doc to send the report that I am free and clear for surgery.  This is when they send off my paperwork to Tricare for approval.  If it goes the way I'd like it too..I will be having surgery in MAY!  Whoo hooo!

I am so excited to restart my life as a much healthier woman! 

Well, I have to say the outpouring of support I have gotten from everyone is AWESOME!  I have connected with two in particular that I already was somewhat buddies with before joining here, but didn't realize we were all in the same boat.  I know now that this is the right thing for me and I will have all the support I need.  I am calling the doctor tomorrow to get the ball rolling.  I'll keep you updated on my progress.  All I want for Christmas is a Surgery date!!!
