I'm 48 years old and 447 pounds and I need this surgery. I have been overweight my whole life. I remember my mother putting me on a diet when I was in the 3rd grade. That was only the beginning..... Many diets and weight loss programs later, I remember my Dr. putting me on diet pills after I had my son in 1980. I was at 270 then. That was only the next step.....many more diets and weight loss programs later...here I am.

1. Be able tie my shoes AND breathe all at the same time.
2. Be able to buy clothes in a department store and not a fat girls shop.
3. Play with my grandchildren.
