VSG the right choice?

After the lengthy post someone recently made regarding his DS procedure, I'm starting to freak out a little.   Did I make the right choice?  I really did put it in my dr's hands like the gentlemen scorned us for, and my drs never even talked about the DS procedure and  only touched  a little bit on the Roux-en-Y.  I want so much to be successful at this and I never really have thought that this was the only thing that I'd have to do.  I've realized all along that I will need to change my lifestyle, but I've never been able to do that up until now.  What makes me think I will be able to change it now?  I guess I better start reading more positive posts about VSG and stay away from stuff like that.
