I have copd (chronic obstructive pulmunary disease) and am on oxygen. I am hoping to be able to get off the oxygen altogether after the surgery. I am 50 years old. I have battled my weight all my life. There have been times that I have been able to lose and keep it off for a short time. Once by only eating a hamburger and a piece of cheese in a week. Not so smart. I am truely looking at my ds as saving my life. It is my chance to regain a somewhat normal life. As I am no longer working due to being disabled and receiving SSD, I hope to be able to get out and see people again especially my family, instead of being housebound.
