Thanks All... he is a blessing indeed and has brought joy to all of us ... even Al took a stroll on the beach without cane or crutch on Saturday as I introduced his little toes to sand for the first time ... I am sooooooo enjoying being a goofy nana ... he makes up for gym time that's for sure ... he is in constant motion LOL

I'm still goofy tracking my journey in a picture a day rocking my old carcass with renewed nana energy LOL ... yikes I'll be 80 when my little fella turns 20 ... I have to make good use of all my time left that's for sure :)

Can you believe it? I pinch myself everyday when I count my blessings ..I dreamed about being a nana sooooo hard .. I was afraid to kick the bucket before becoming one ... I wanted to be fit to be able to chase my grandbabies ... and 10 years and 4 months after on June 5th I am celebrating my RNY in full maintenance and 9 months being a nana to my adorable grandson MichaelJohn ... I NEVER experienced love like this ... It is all worth it ... As I was exercising on my pole in my room on Sunday he crawled up to the pole ... held on to it ... and walked ...at 9 months ... can you imagine? I can't ... my live is filled with work, family and grandbaby --- I had to re-navigate the updated OH site to find myself one more time sharing my journey on this awesome site that I visited everyday since my gastric bypass in 2007 ... Thanks for allowing me to share Snippets of my Journey ...

My first Lyra class ... still cannot believe that in a mixed level class with my clueless old arse being the newbe I got up into that hoop and kept the pace ... and LOVED IT ... definitely adding Lyra and Silks to my fitness routine... 9 years and 5 months post gastric bypass surgery I keep my journey new ... and I have fun with it ... life DOES throw me curve balls every now and again sometimes they knock me over and leave me winded but I roll over and get up never one to wallow for too long ... I am living my life like it is golden ... one day... one choice at a time.... Thanks for allowing me to share ... SNIPPETS OF MY JOURNEY

Thinking about doing this at my highest or even my lowest weight at my age was sooo remote ... but I love it!!! working out and staying fit with 5 co-morbidities and morbid obesity under my feet ... going on 9 years and 5 months ... This is the link to me working out on my own pole at home this morning ... I have strength and stamina but the grace and flow of a work horse LOL ... so here I am practicing some flow and splits ... not bad for pushing 60s and 9 years 5 months and 203 pounds down ... I love love love my RNY!!!

Saying Hi to all and wishing all a Happy Sunday!!! Posting my 9 years 5 months out progress pictures and sharing my excitement of once again looking forward to being the nana of a very healthy seamless pregnancy baby boy .. he'll be here in six weeks time and we just can't wait ... he has two little twin angel girls that we lost a year ago looking after him and oh he is soooooo fine the 3D Ultrasound picture just touched my heart a tad more that it already was.... I found a passion in Aerial Fitness and I even bought my own pole for practice at home ... using muscles I never thought I had ... I continue to rock my weight loss/maintenance journey like it was yesterday... for it NEVER gets old..

Seriously... 9 years out and it feels like it was just yesterday ... Just a drive by note to thank OH and all the wonderful people on here ... brothers and sisters on the journey!!! My comparison collage keeping 203 pounds off ... having a wonderful workout at PoleFly Aerial Fitness ... doing Hoops on Sunday .... Life IS a journey ... I LOVE IT!!! and on that note I am hoping once again to see the miracle of grandma-hood this summer WOOT!!! Have a wonderful day beautiful people!!!

I SWAM LIKE A SHARK ... oh wait ... it may have been like a dolphin ... I love to swim .. a marathon swimmer, it is my most favorite exercise ... TODAY after I came home from work I went to the pool and I swam to celebrate...  I chose to celebrate my 9 year re-birth .. the day I snatched my life back from morbid obesity and 5 related co-morbidities.

I chose to celebrate today although the actual date is tomorrow because tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of my twin grandbabies transitioning to angelhood ... Two little angels that inducted me into grandmahood... they blessed us with 5 hours and we celebrated them with gladness I will always celebrate them with joy as we now await the birth of their brother or sister as once again I live and dream of being a healthy young nana for whenever the miracle happens.

Yes I AM CELEBRATING... I am celebrating that the CPAP machine and the horrible mask that spooked me at nights when I caught my reflection in the mirror is no longer my bed mate.... I am celebrating that Toprol-XL for hypertension is something of the past ... I am celebrating that its been 9 years since I took Zetia for my hyperlipidemia or Glucovance twice daily for my type II diabetes or Nexium for gastroesophageal reflux so bad I used to think my esophagus was on fire ... I remember not being able to climb a flight of stairs without tooting my inhaler or hacking up a lung .. shortness of breath and asthmatic episodes daily several times a day all behind me ... and they will stay there as long as I walk the course.

... this is my life ... my journey for health and wellness ... I embrace it... I live it ... because MORBID OBESITY ALMOST KILLED ME .. I have my life back! and I AM NOT GOING BACK!!!... HAPPY 9 YEARS SURGIVERSARY TO MEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! YUP  ... I swam this day ... sooooooooooo many laps I lost count ... I am refreshed and invigorated .... ahhhhhhhhhh Morbid Obesity where is your sting! I will keep focused and keep you under my feet ... one day..one choice at a time ... I will continue my digital journal A Picture A Day Keeps the Pounds and the Inches Away ... an empiric tool that my beautiful sister María Carmela (RIP) suggested ... sometimes I really don't want to ... but I remember ...

Time flies by... here I am this morning sitting on break taking a selfie in my small BCBG top a gift from my lovely daughter-in-law whose favorite passtime is shopping in my closets LOL ... So I took a selfie for my blog ... an accountability and empowerment note ... 8 years and 5 months out and I have kept 203 lbs off and still rocking my tool like it was yesterday... the best gift I ever gave to myself... 5 co-morbidities in remission ... I am looking forward to attending the OH Conference with my friend Marcia ... 

I'm having soooooooooooooo much fun on my awesome 4th litter of toy poodles with my two dams and two awesome sires ... my closest friends and awesome co-workers are all so very happy with their awesome family additions ... my tiny toy poodles are nothing but love and awesomeness... 

Can you believe I got into the puppy pen and I fit with extra space too ... LOL ...

While I follow OH on FB I love coming back and updating my blog and checking on the stories of many who like me are on this journey for life... I am grateful... 

And as I always do I am keeping this sweet little girl... we named her MaryJane...

8 years and 3 months out ... 203 pounds lost and maintaining ....  3 months ago was my 8th year Surgiversary ... I celebrated it being a first time grandmother ... for 5.5 hours .. to two beautiful twin grandbaby girls ... my little twincesses ... who then transitioned to be angels ... to live in the hearts of my son and his wife and in mine and my family for-ever ....  #proudnanatoangeltwincesses....

I still run every other day, join my daughter in weights, zumba and a host of other group exercises ... from the climb for air stair climb sponsoring my DD (I did not climb) to walking for the AHA heart walk with my son and DIL yesterday ... life is awesome with all its challenges ... with 5 co-morbidities in full remission for the past 8 years ... I am living life in maintenance totally grateful for health, mobility, love, awesome friends and FAMILY!!! Thanks OH for allowing me to share...

BEFORE AND NOW ... HOLDING UP! AND HOLDING STRONG!!!

My beautiful angel grand-babies ... born to be angels on the day of my 8th year surgiversary 2/5/2015... they brought us much happiness ... from the time of conception to their short time with us on earth we loved every second, every heart beat, every hope .. we shared our warrior monodi twincesses with the world and both my son and his wife will try again as soon as both hearts and body heal....

Today is my monthly Surgiversary yes! 7 years and 11 months post RNY gastric bypass... Next month is my 8 year surgiversary... I am so loving my tool... in maintenance for LIFE...

AWESOME things are happening ... as I live a healthy happy life with 5 co-morbidities in remission and maintaining my total loss of 203 lbs without wavering I am sooooooooooo looking forward to being a first time grandma to monochorionic/diamniotic twin GIRLS!!!! Blessed with an awesome united family that I LOVE TO LIFE I am so totally grateful for the addition of our lovely DIL, a new daughter to me and my DH, sister to my daughter and wife to my son...

So thankful for my tool, a few rules, health and mobility to be an awesome young grandma in an old carcass LOL...I am loving it!!!

My BEAUTIFUL 'TWINCESSES' they'll be here in less than 4 months (yes... they will by their mommy & daddy's and nana's princesses = twincesses) Twin A - Evelia Marie; Twin B - Valentina Evelia ... (Evelia is my middle namasake that my kids insist their daughter's have)

AND me? I am looking forward to rocking my 8th year surgiversary next month!!!
