Hi, We are having surgery on the same day and I just wanted to wish you well in your journey. I don't know about you but I am scared, excited and so sure this is the right thing to do. You and the rest of our fellow Dec 5 surgery buddies will be in my prayers as they prep me. Let's just pray that everything goes well for all of us. Good luck and see you on the "loosing side". <b>CONGRATULATIONS</b> Your special day is almost here. I hope the emotions you're experiencing are full of excitement, hope, anticipation and peace. I wish for YOU all the health, joy, energy and wonderment that Ive found with weight loss surgery. It never ceases to amaze me, daily, all the wonderful and special moments that are now available to me with regaining my health. You'll be experiencing those same "special moments" yourself - make sure to keep up with your journal so that others can share in your happiness too. This is a second chance to LIVE again, no words can truly express the freedoms that come with LIVING LIFE rather then merely existing through it. ...... <i>"To grow, you must be willing to let your present and future be totally <u>unlike</u> your past. Your history is not your destiny." -- Alan Cohen </i> ........ This surgery has been nothing short of a miracle for me and I will be forever grateful. I've lost 230 lbs and have been at goal and in maintenance for over a year now. If you'd like to read about my weight loss experiences it can be found here: http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=G1025993964

11/27/2005 Well it is nine days until my new life. Both my wife and I have been researching wls for over 2 years and and now my date is rapidly arriving. I have spent hundreds of hours reading the wls journey of others on this site. This has not only strengthened my resolve, but has provided an educational tool that I plan to put to good use. I consider this website as the most important tool next to the surgery itself that will help me lose the weight. I hope to learn from the food experiences of others posted here, as well as recognize possible complications as I procede in my weight loss journey. I want to take this time to thank each and every person who has posted on this website, for their very personal journeys and to encourage others like myself who are pre-op to read as many of these entries as possible to get the widest possible view of what our new life will be like. I have my final pre-op appointment with the surgeon, Dr Lord, on 30 Nov and my surgery is scheduled for 5 Dec 05. I begin my clear liquid diet tomorrow......yuck... I will post more later
