"I met with Dr. Schlesinger today. I was very nervous, but he put me at ease. He was professional and kind at the same time. The person who greeted me at the front desk was also the patient counselor, so she's actually been through this and showed me her before pictures. Also, Dr. Schlesinger told me about all their follow up care (which is awesome, by the way), any risks involved especially considering my weight, which weight loss surgery would be most beneficial to me, etc. I feel much more informed now. The office has really big chairs - they look just like regular doctor office chairs, only much wider. For the first time in a very long time I didn't have to suffer the humiliation of not being able to sit in the chairs in a waiting room. I felt just a little more human today!"
