I need suggestions

I went on my appointment to see the psychologist and he asked, "why do you want the rny over the lap band"? I told him after researching both procedures I prefer the rny. I also said I like the idea of having more restrictions because the lap band is more forgiveable with eating sweets. Well, he didn't like my answer and thinks I need more research. I have been researching the surgeries for a couple of years now and I do have a great amount of information. Can anyone help me with this? What do you think is an acceptable answer? I have a follow up appointment with him and I need to get this right.
